BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions UK appoints Head of Healthcare for newly established division
Nick previously spent seven years as the Healthcare Sales Manager for Siemens Financial Services, managing the company’s leasing business for NHS and private hospital clients across a range of medical and IT assets. He also had a five-year tenure at Bank of Scotland as Director of Corporate Asset Finance, providing tailored asset finance products to private equity-backed clients and FTSE 350 companies.
In his new role, Nick will be responsible for establishing the healthcare division for BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions in the UK. Healthcare has been identified as a key growth market for BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions under its ambitious three-year mid-term plan.
“Healthcare is a real growth market and new advances in technology are being made all the time. However, there are financial challenges involved in accessing this technology. Currently, the NHS is struggling to acquire new equipment within its budget, while private hospitals are also having difficulties in keeping pace as new technology becomes available. Suppliers in the sector are also being asked by customers to find new rental and managed equipment service type solutions which create working capital challenges.”
“Thankfully, leasing is growing in popularity within the healthcare sector as financial leaders look to explore new ways to acquire equipment. As we establish this new division we will be looking to work with NHS lease advisory channels and figure out the best market fit for our services.”
Jean Michel-Boyer, CEO at BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions UK, comments: “We are delighted to have Nick on board to head up our new healthcare division, which forms a major part of our 3-year business growth plan in the UK. Last year, BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions advanced more than £1.7 billion to over 100,000 British businesses. The healthcare sector is hugely important in the UK, and our mission is to help equipment suppliers, dealers and manufacturers use finance to sell more effectively to their healthcare customers.”
